A Year in Review

A Year in Review

Greetings from the Pennsylvania Parking Association!

We hope that 2018 has been great for you, and that 2019 looks to be even better. As the primary association for parking, transportation, and mobility resources and education in Pennsylvania, we wanted to give an update on the successes of this year and what you can look forward to coming up!

First, and foremost, we want to thank our members, as well as our sponsors. Your support allows the PPA to continue to serve as a valuable resource and thought leader for parking, transportation, and mobility professionals throughout Pennsylvania.

2018 Program Success

This year, we transitioned our two main events. For this first time, we held our annual conference in the spring and offered our annual training program in the fall.

Our Spring Conference and Trade Show, held in Pittsburgh, focused on the upcoming changes in mobility and technology in cities and real estate developments throughout Pennsylvania. Attendees learned about the latest trends impacting parking and transportation throughout the state, how trends in real estate development and mobility will shape the future of parking design, and how technology will continue to evolve and impact our industry.

Our Fall Training program, held at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, focused “Controlling the Curb”. As parking, transportation, and mobility professionals, we understand the impact that the changing curb environment is having on our industry, as well as the importance of creating safe, effective, and quality curbside experiences. Leaders from numerous regional parking authorities, and other parking management experts, discussed their approach to these changes and how they anticipate this issue to develop.

The knowledge offered at these events provided attendees with the assets they need to enhance and improve their parking operation back home, and effectively serve their patrons. These programs also provided essential education, networking, and professionals development opportunities.
