PPA Fall Training Breaks Records

PPA Fall Training Breaks Records

On November 7, PPA hosted our most successful training event to date, bringing together over 75 parking, transportation, and mobility professionals for our annual Fall Training. The event included a full day of innovative and technology-driven presentations, providing attendees from universities, municipalities, parking authorities, hospitals, transit agencies, parking operators, and solution providers with the knowledge and resources to serve their parking and transportation needs back home.

The goal of PPA’s training events is to offer professionals from throughout Pennsylvania and beyond with a mid-year opportunity to get training on the latest industry trends, strategies, and developments. Sessions this year highlighted the future impact of autonomous vehicles, technology and innovation, and the future of parking planning and design.

Fall Training kicked off with a welcome from the Honorable Ray O’Connell, Mayor of Allentown. Attendees also learned from leaders of two Pennsylvania municipalities – Allentown and Jim Thorpe. These sessions included:

  • City of Allentown: The Partnership with The Allentown Parking Authority and the Future of Allentown
  • Improving Mobility in the Switzerland of America: Jim Thorpe, PA

These sessions focused on real-life scenarios, highlighting how the ideas discussed at the event are being applied in the region. Thank you to the City of Allentown for hosting this fantastic event! Start making your plans to attend our annual conference May 6-8, 2020 in Pittsburgh. This will be another great education and professional development for you and your team, as well as networking with other parking, transportation, and mobility professionals throughout the region.

The next PPA event will be our annual Conference and Trade Show, May 6-8, 2020 in Pittsburgh. Save the date, and stay tuned for more details coming soon!
